Chiltern Shakespeare summer production in aid of Buckinghamshire Community Foundation
This year's summer production by the Chiltern Shakespeare Company will be in aid of Buckinghamshire Community Foundation and The Stroke Association.
It is 11 years since the company last performed Twelfth Night and this year's shows at the open air theatre at Hall Barn in Beaconsfield will take place on 9th-12th June and 16-19th June.
"We're delighted that the Company has chosen to support the Foundation's work in this our 10th anniversary year," says Richard Dickson, Director at Buckinghamshire Community Foundation. "The proceeds from the event will be used support creative arts projects for school age children in the county."
Tickets can be bought online at www.chiltern-shakespeare.co.uk or by 'phoning the box office on 08700 66 77 20.
Since the Foundation was set up it has been used by local people to invest more than £2.6 million exclusively in local community activities. The Foundation now invests more money throughout the whole of Buckinghamshire than any other grant-giving charity in the county, whilst spending just 14% of its income on administration.
Buckinghamshire Community Foundation's Grassroots Grants programme is taking advantage of the government's Match Challenge scheme. This unique scheme encourages local people and businesses to invest in their communities by doubling the value of any donation that the Foundation receives. Under the scheme a personal gift of £10,000 to the Foundation can, with Gift Aid, be worth as much as £25,600. The Grassroots Match Challenge scheme ends in March 2011. Anyone wishing to use the Foundation to support local community groups by taking advantage of this Scheme should call Richard Dickson at the Foundation on 01296 330134.
